I, Kevin, was saved at the age of five at La Belle Baptist Church. At the end of a Sunday night service I watched people going forward to the altar. I wanted to go down to the altar so my Dad went with me and prayed with me. I didn’t get saved right then but afterwards when we got home my dad took me into the living room and explained to me that I was a sinner, and because of that I had a debt to pay that I couldn’t pay to God, but Jesus Christ paid it for me on the Cross of Calvary. I then accepted the gift Jesus paid and asked Him into my heart.
I, Lori, was saved at the age of seventeen on April 13, 1997 at Bible Baptist Church in Pinellas Park. When I got saved I did not take God seriously. I was away from the Lord for three and a half years. God allowed a period in my life that made me notice He was there. Then, in October of 2000, I rededicated my life to the Lord. I am very thankful for my salvation and God has truly blessed me because of what He allowed me to go through to bring me closer to Him.
We knew each other for about a year and a half before we were married. We first met for a brief moment in the LBC Bookstore, but really began to know each other at church when we casually happened to sit by each other. After the Christmas of 2006 we began talking more as friends. In February 2007 we went to the College Valentine’s Banquet together. After that, our relationship began to grow beyond just friendship. We were engaged at the Dixie Stampede in November of 2007 and then married at Landmark Baptist church. We now plan to continue to serve at Landmark, while going on deputation for our next destination – Hawaii.
Please pray for us as we prepare for the calling the Lord has given us.
